What is Provided to Customer:
Our typical hunt consists of two people per one guide. Our experienced guide will have one pointer and flushing dogs. Lunch is included and prepared by our chefs. Shells are available to be purchased at the lodge.
What Should Customers Bring?
Seasonal rain gear, good hunting boots, sunscreen, warm jacket, long sleeved shirt, camera, sunglasses, plus shotgun and shells.
Date Range:
Upland game birds, sharptail and Hungarian partridge starts September 1.
Pheasant starts the second Saturday in October.
Species You Hunt by Season:
We hunt pheasant with flushing and pointing dogs. A 12-gauge shotgun is most appropriate for these birds. We also hunt sharptail grouse, Hungarian partridge and some chukar partridges.
Region/Terrain Where You Hunt:
We have an exclusive 90,000 acre hunting lease that consists of alfalfa and wheat fields cut up by meandering creek bottoms. Ideal for native pheasant and sharptail grouse. Flanked by high bluffs suited for Hungarian partridges.
Typical Weather by Season:
Upland game bird season starts September 1 and includes grouse and partridges. Temperatures usually are 60-70 degrees during the day. Pheasant season starts the second Saturday in October. Typical temperatures during that time are 45-55 in the middle of the day.
