The Story

Available September 15 - October 31

Go waterfowl or upland hunting with the experts at Dave Brown Outfitters, an Orvis-endorsed wingshooting outfitter operating in the Province of Saskatchewan since 2000, and the first and only wingshooting outfitter to pursue upland birds with pointing dogs on the Canadian prairies. Based in the Prairie Pothole Region, which is considered to be the North American "duck factory," we have taken full advantage of this great waterfowl resource, offering our clients an off-the-charts combo hunt for both waterfowl and upland birds.

We have access to well over 200,000 acres of upland bird habitat and numerous lakes and sloughs for our waterfowl shoots.

Our hunts are based out of the extremely small farming town of Cabri, Saskatchewan (population 400), which is located 2.5 hours from Regina or Saskatoon, which are the closest international airports.

There is no other hunt like this in North America. Despite being located in the staging area of the Central Flyway, there is minimal hunting pressure. Our team of hardworking guides is extremely motivated to ensure your trip is a success by conducting lots of spotting and scouting before your arrival. Dave Brown Outfitters' maximum capacity is eight hunters or an intact party of six. We operate with a two-hunters-per-guide ratio on our upland bird hunts.

Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.
