Yellow Dog Flyfishing's Tip of the Week

Keep an eye out for rising fish! If you see trout eating on the surface a midge cluster or small parachute adams should fool the risers. Nymphing and streamer fishing are always great options when fish are not rising. Some BWO's have been spotted and fish have been eating them.

5-Day Outlook as of 4/1/24

Nice spring weather in the forecast with a slightly cooler weekend but plenty nice to fish. Maybe some rain and snow mixed in with sunny conditions by Friday.

Techniques & Tips as of 4/1/24

I would nymph with a worm or a rubber leg down to a small perdigon or a zebra midge. Have a dry fly box at the ready with midges and Baetis for when the fish start rising.
